Mad Manc Cabaret – Friday 20th February 15

The Greatest Variety show in the North West hits The Dancehouse Theatre, Oxford Road on Friday 20th February. The streets of Manchester are still buzzing from the first two cabaret nights– so don’t hang about for this must see event.

Hosted by Terry Christian and his alias Monsignor Malachi Mary O’Rourke this is Friday night entertainment with a sprinkling of culture and all the acts are by invitation only – it’s all killer and no filler.

Badly Drawn Boy  The idiosyncratic genius, described in Q Magazine as one of 50 artists to see before you die.

Aziz Ibrahim. Former Stone Roses  guitarist and Ian Brown songwriter who’s also written and performed with Paul Weller, Roxy Music and even virtuoso rock supergroup Asia, the Jimi Hendrix of Longsight  and right up there with the greatest guitarists to ever come out of the UK.

Rachel MacFarlane  A multi-million selling recording artist. This Longsight girl first hit the charts as lead vocalist in Manchester’s  huge floor filling dance outfit ‘Loveland’  and then fronted Manchester’s LMC who reached number one with their anthemic rave sensation – Take me To The Clouds Above.

Kerry Leigh Host of Laughing Cow Comedy nights, warm, funny, witty, uplifting and a bit naughty just like Mad Manc Cabaret likes it.

Marvin Cheeseman   Comedic genius and poetry . Still laugh out loud at his Gary Lineker and Jamie Oliver poems – ouch :-)

Jun Tzu  Righteous but not self righteous. This Belfast Hip Hop sensation’s father was in the UVF and sentenced to 48 years in prison and this subject informs a lot of the material on his critically acclaimed album ‘The Troubles’, live he will shake your world.

The Korsairs  From the wilds of North Manchester, think Jake Bugg meets The Magic Numbers, a quartet made up of  brothers aged 18 and 15 and sisters aged 18 and 15. Ones to definitely watch.

The Marivaux, young lads from Manchester who’ve recently had their first national radio plays on Radio 1 and 6 music with their current single ‘All In Good Time’.

Tickets are £15 in Advance and the show starts at 8.30pm.
