Mad Manc Cabaret – Friday 13th March 15

Another all killer no filler line-up for the hottest ticket in Manchester . Mad Manc Cabaret brings you an eclectic mixture of the best Manchester music established and new, spoken word, comedy and a face full of pure attitude. It’s a love thing.

Here’s a playlist of the acts performing to whet your whistle.

MC Tunes – Moss Side’s Nicky Lockett is back in full effect with Manchester’s number one battalion – in conversation and performing a selection of old and new – his rhymes still bite hard .

Denise Johnson – ACR vocalist and former Primal Scream and Fifth Of Heaven singer once again shows she has few peers when it comes to putting a song across .

The Space Monkeys – Tony Wilson’s last band he managed and signed to Factory records – deserved to be massive and now back on Stage together for the first time in over 15 years . Form is temporary class is forever

Marvin Cheeseman – half Phillip Larkin half Frankie Boyle :-)

Little Sparrow – Manchester has taken her to it’s heart and she has the honour of being the first southerner to grace Mad Manc Cabaret . A favourite on BBC Introducing , my show and Guy Garvey on 6 music. Ethereally wonderful.

Thick Richard – The spite and gravitas of Manchester comedy poet – think John Cooper Clarke meets Jerry Sadowitz ouch :-)

Kyla Brox – Daughter of Blues legend Victor Brox . Nominated for five years on the bounce as best vocalist in the European Blues Awards and described by the late Tony Wilson as Manchester’s answer to Aretha Franklin and favourite on Paul Jones Blues show on Radio 2.

Mike Sweeney  – Salford Jets frontman – and Broadcasting Legend from the scenic sewers of Salford and proof old punks never die – their trousers just get tighter it’s

The Travellers – Mad and bad Barber Shop Quartet  from New Mills , they sing beautifully and may even build a Wicker man :-)

Tickets are £15 in advance for theatre seating or book a table for 5, 6, 7 or 8 people with a drinks waiter service throughout the show
