Another guaranteed all killer no-filler line-up with the best Mancunian talent around from Soul music to grime to rock and more , these nights have all been incredible so far and this one could be the best yet. Do not miss out , it’s a cultural heritage we can all drink to on a Saturday night .
John Bramwell – one of the finest singer songwriters to ever emerge from Manchester and that’s saying something. He released his debut single in 1987 Black & Blue under the name Johnny Dangerously . Overlooked by the mainstream during the Madchester era , to Mancunians he was just as much a part of that scene as The Stone Roses or The Happy Mondays . John has slowly but surely embedded himself into the pantheon of great British songwriters with his band I Am Kloot.
Jenna G – Wow what can I say , the Aretha Franklin of Drum N’Bass with a soaring gospel tinged soul vocal that can cut through , file her next to the great Manchester female soul singers of all time Diane Charlemagne and Rachel MacFarlane . Mad Manc is proud to present this worldwide Phenomenon in her home town
Mike Garry – Been touring the world with John Cooper Clarke for the last 5 years or more. This Fallowfield lad has a way of extracting tears and making that Mancunian accent sound almost Shakespearean . His epic ode to the late Anthony H Wilson , St Anthony is perhaps the most poignant eulogy any Prominent figure from this area has ever had and has for his ‘God Is A Manc’ poem , well as if we didn’t know
Mike Sweeney – What would Mad Manc Cabaret be without at least one Salfordian . Mike Sweeney musician , entertainer and legendary radio presenter returns by popular demand . In all my years of listening to his shows I never went away without some gem of cultural significance and feeling proud to be from round here. Bravely he’s going to do an acoustic set of Salford Jets classics , fun, frivolous but full of attitude and love .
Meany – The crown prince of Manchester Hip Hop and Grime , he will bring the Darkness to you . A lyrical genius from Levenshulme . He is the Don . Hometown – Manchester – yerrr , sometimes things can get too real.
Thick Richard – one of Manchester’s most original poets , outrageously funny, offensive and unique , think John Cooper Clarke meets Frankie Boyle . He will slaughter you
Josh Goddard – 25 year old Mancunian sings the blues and what a fine blues voice he has. One time frontman of Manchester’s hotly tipped Lucky T Jackson, Josh will be hitting us with that soulful howl tonight at Mad Manc Cabaret , a natural talent that’ll take your breath away.
Julian Daniel – Mancunian poet extraordinaire now living in that London , he’s been missing up here for the past five years so we’ve kidnapped him back for the night .
Kaiden Nolan – This only just 16 year old singer songwriter from Langley in Middleton. Already built a sizeable following in Manchester and as soon as he’s done his GCSEs in the summer he’ll be wowing the rest of the UK too . His debut single Katrina was released in the autumn , definitely one to watch.
Temiah – 12 year old Moss Side singing sensation makes her debut at Mad Manc Cabaret, another huge talent from Manchester already on the radar and been making waves since she was 8 years old.
Matter Of Mind – 17 year old Stockport Emos go acoustic , the surprise in this Mad Manc package.
